Newbie mistake, I should have called Bob first!!!

I spoke to Bob at AmeriFreight when I started getting quotes to ship my vehicle. AmeriFreight was NOT the lowest bidder, so I did what every first time shipper would do and went with the lowest bidder. I did not have a tight time schedule and had plenty of flexibility in my pickup and delivery windows, so I thought I was good. Short story, I waited 6 weeks without one contact regarding my vehicle and only heard from my broker when I called him inquiring on the status after 4 weeks of silence.
I called Bob back as I had kept his email correspondence from our earlier chats. He promptly listed my vehicle at the price I wanted and we talked over a game plan of money versus time. It took Bob less than 2 weeks to find a truck at the price in my budget. Once we agreed on a truck and price, I was quickly contacted by the driver and my vehicle was on its way 2 days later. The driver was professional, courteous and kept in constant communication during his transit. The drop off was very easy.
Learn from me, even if you have time on your hand, it cost me $150 more than the lowest bidder to get it done right the first time with 1st rate customer service, great driver and timely delivery! I will be moving again in a year and I will be calling Bob at AmeriFreight again!
