Damaged Vechicle During Transportation

The vehicle was picked up on time, however it was damaged upon loading. When the vehicle was delivered, I was given the insurance information of the carrier (Alex Carrier of Homestead Florida) .

I had purchased the additional insurance from Afta through AmeriFreight. When I filed my claim against Alex Carrier's insurance, I was told I had to submit the Bill of Lading. I attempted to contact Alex Carrier and my phone calls, texts, and voice messages were not returned.

I contacted AmeriFreight to file a claim with Afta. Afta responded that they would not pay until the carrier's insurance had processed the claim and failed to pay. My claim with them was denied.

I again contacted AmeriFreight to get assistance with obtaining the Bill of Lading. I never heard back from AmeriFreight, cannot get the Bill of Lading and am stuck with repairing my classic car out of pocket.

Be aware of the carrier that is selected and do not pay until your can assure that an insurance claim will be processed.
