I would like to start by saying I had a great service using Amerifreight and everything went as well as expected. Amerifreight is a broker and they managed to find a carrier on the very first day that I said the car was available . The car arrived very rapidly and was undated. The cost was less than most AAA competitors and I would certainly recommend them to others, and in fact have done so.
There are a few caveats to be aware of:
The $50 discount is awarded only for those who write a review here (which is fair enough) but the reviews are restricted to only the service provided by the broker (Americfreight) and not the transporter. Furthermore, reviews less than 5* require a process and negation that you typically won't bother going through. This reward and associated restrictions have created a bias on transport reviews that you should be aware of. However, I stress again that the service I received was excellent and so I have had no need to lie in my reviewing.
Secondly, the price quote you get may not be realistic and there is no guarantee that your car can be shipped at that price. They offer a process whereby if, and only if, you agree to pay up to a certain amount extra then then amount will be added to your original quote as an incentive to carriers. I agreed to this and ended up paying an extra $100 over my original quote which is absolutely fine and the total price was still acceptable. Furthermore, I was asked if I would agree to this epadditional charge which was nice since I belle the purpose of pre-approving this extra amount is so they can bypass you to seal a quicker deal.
