When cross country road trip had to be cancelled on the last minute, I needed to ship my car from California to Michigan really quick. My cousin referred me to Amerifreight.
I filled up an evaluation form on the website and got a call shorty thereafter. After a few rounds of reaching each other's voicemail, I was finally able to speak to Lecia in person. She was very courteous and considerate and gave me an overview of what options she had. She patiently explained how the service worked and asked me if I had any special requirements.
I wanted to leave a couple of boxes in the car and I told her to include this information in the notes. Some carriers are very particular about this and I didn't want to pay more to ship these boxes through fedex.
After I filled out the paperwork, Lecia emailed me that a trucking company had picked up my bid and asked me to call the trucking company. I immediately did and was able to get a tentative pick up date which was reasonable. I was given the contact information of the driver and told that he'd be calling me a day before the pickup to schedule a time slot.
I was unable to be present in person for the pickup and had designated someone else. I heard that the pickup went smoothly. I was told the driver would call 24 hours ahead of the delivery date to schedule a time slot. However, I did not receive a call and started to get worried.
I called Amerifrieght and they were able to get in touch with the shipping company and give me an updated ETA. Soon, I received a call from the driver.
Finally, the delivery date arrived and the driver was about 25 mins late. The car was a little dirty (as expected) but was in the condition I had left it in. All the boxes inside were intact. The driver was courteous and polite and he gave me some final paperwork to complete and handed over the keys to me.
Overall, I was very happy with the experience and would gladly recommend them.
