This was my first time shipping my car and I had only heard horror stories from other people. Chris assured me that Amerifreight only used top carriers and put me at ease and encouraged me to call with any questions or concerns. Chris handled my pick up and Ali handled my delivery. There was pretty much miscommunication with the carrier the whole time, but not with Amerifreight. It was hard to get a time window for pickup or delivery. Pickup and delivery were probably delayed d/t weather which is understandable. The pickup and delivery times passed with no calls or updates. I called the driver to see when he was going to pickup/deliver, because I live 35mins from where the delivery was. I wanted to deliver at my job. I got a 2hr window, which was fine, for pickup. For delivery the owner called and said the driver was waiting for me. They switched drivers on me, so the previous driver was just ignoring me i guess. There was also miscommunication about paying in cash or with money order. The initial driver said he would be delivering and that he wanted cash, then the owner said no on the day of delivery. I use a credit union in AL so I can't switch up like that and was scared that the original driver who was kinda insistent on cash would keep my car, but Ali made contact with the owner and clarified the situation. Maybe this is how car shipping is. All that being said, I would use Amerifreight again. Probably just not the carrier unless desperate.
