Excellent service with some caveats

There are really two parts to this story. The broker (AmeriFreight) and the transporters (Mobile Transport). AmeriFreight was nothing but helpful during the process and made the sale very smooth. They were quick to answer the phone, clearly let me know my options, and answer any questions that I had. Once I had placed the order, they arranged space on a transport that very day and laid out everything that needed to be done from there. Their customer service is excellent and I would recommend the process again.
The second part of the story is Mobile Transport, who AmeriFreight had chosen to actually ship the car. While they were fast at delivery (being 2-3 days earlier than quoted), they seem to lack a sense of time. I was called by the dispatcher telling me that the truck would be there a day earlier, but the truck came on time instead. The driver called me early in the day telling me that he would be there in 2 hours but did not come until 8 hours later with no updates. They said delivery that weekend and even called to say Saturday but then never showed up. They were out of contact and would not answer their phones all day until late Saturday when they said that they would not be able to be there that day. On Monday they called early in the day saying they wanted to deliver early in the day but did not show up until 9 hours later. The car itself was fine but based on some of the other reviews of this company it seems out of the ordinary. I guess I should consider myself lucky that they were simply unable to tell time rather than anything worse.
Overall my experience with AmeriFreight has been excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again.
