The problem we had was lack of accountability and responsibility on Diane's part. She is in charge of the Customer Service (ext 2). I received quotes from many different auto shippers, some for less and some for more. I contacted AAR and at first, she was really nice and made us feel comfortable about choosing AAR for their services. I had told her our moving situation, when we were leaving the state and obviously that the car had to be picked up by that date. She understood, told me that there would be a three day period in which the car would be picked up and sent me the contract to sign and send back. I, trusting her word, did just that. So the "expected ship date" came and then the next day. My husband called on the second day to see where they were he was told that the driver was in New Hampshire on his way down to PA, fine. Then the third day comes and goes without a call. So on the 4th day, our last day in PA, I called worried. The response I got from Diane was defensive. She stated that we have "standard" on our contract which means there is a 7-10 day waiting period not a 3 day. She then asked me who I spoke with and I said Diane- her. She said that she wouldn't have told me that, and so on. I said "but I told you we were leaving on the 1st and needed our car picked up by then, if I knew this I would have made the estimated ship date earlier..." This is when she became defensive and stated that she would try and find someone to ship the car. She never called me back. We left the car with family expecting the problem to be fixed, soon. I had my father call and give them his information so when they came, they could get the car. So a week went by, then another… Meanwhile, we never got a call back from Diane even though messages were left. However, my father got a call when AAR contracted a company to pick up our car. When my Dad spoke with the company who they contracted, he was told they called them the day before… He wasn’t very pleased either. So they came and picked up the car and as I write they are on there way up to were I live, 24 days later. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and write down their names, whomever you go with. Oh and also ask what the fuel surcharge will be, you might end up spending another 50.00 like I did.
