Pleasent experience after being burnt by Magic Carpet

I am consumiing some e-estate also talking about Magic Carpet in this review because I wanted to highlight Angels performance as contrast to Magic Carpet.

I had initially scheduled the pick-up through magic carpet. The quote given was 865 and everything seemed very seamless. Pick up was not scheduled but I was told that it will be based on avg lead times of 1 week. After 1.5 - 2 weeks, I was told that suddenly the specific route I was looking to get the car transported had unusual traffic and no truck driver was ready to pick up the car for the price quoted. I was given an option to either pay higher price or keep waiting without being hopeful. I was also advised that contacting other agencies may mean that I join the long waiting list at the bottom again. Here I was 2 weeks in CA with no car (or even signs of it getting transported). I was angry and felt cheated and arm twisted by MC.

Just to get a second opinion, I got in touch with the second highest rated agency - Angels (hoping that being second, they would try harder). The person on phone immediately checked my details and told me the price at which Magic Carpet had qouted the car transport on the internal portal. It was way below the average (ensuring healthy margins to the company but misery to me) and was the key reason for delay (aparantly not the back-up I was told by Magic Carpet). The Angels rep worked with me on continous basis giving spl attention to me considering my need following my experience with Magic Carpet. The carrier pick up was arranged immediately on the same day for specific day. The pick up was on time and so was delivery (well almost.. it was delayed by 1 day). Angels charged me more than original quote by MC but yet it was much less than MCs estimate of how much I should pay for the car to be transported.

Even when I called up MC again to cancel my order, there was no sympathy or apology by their reps. The cancellation was accepted as a metter of fact (as if it was a routine procedure). They did not feel sad to loose a customer and I was happy to get rid of them.
