Please be aware of this Company- BK Transportation and if any transport broker tells you that this is the carrier they have booked for you- DECLINE TO USE THEM! My 2001 Corvette was shipped- from Texas to Seattle. I paid $1,400 rather than $900 for an ENCLOSED carrier believing this would be safer. The driver, Valeriy, positioned a second car too close to mine on the upper deck of the enclosed carrier and rammed the tail pipe of this other car into the left rear bumper of mine. So it gouged through the paint and metal leaving the circumference of this tail pipe etched into my finish- AND during transit, with the up and down motion of the tail pipe rubbing and scratching against my bumper, vertical scratch marks exist now within and above the circular damage. They delivered the car dusty and filthy- once it was washed I noted the damage and called the driver. He yelled at me- trying to tell me that this was how it was- but he did not realize that I was in Texas and saw the car an hour before it was loaded- so I know its condition and have before and after photos. He was hostile and angry for my polite and respectful attempt to state that he made a mistake and I need compensation for the repair. I was not angry at all- accidents happen but he took no responsibility whatsoever. In addition, their carrier had off-load ramps too narrow for the run flat tires- so they backed it out on the edge of the ramps, cutting into the brand new run flat tires. The tires are OK- just their ramps are not well suited to wider tires. But what is WORSE is that this fix of the rear bumper scratch is likely less than $1,000- the deductible on most carrier insurance policies. (Magic Carpet brokers will do nothing for you in the case of damage. And you have to REALLY persist to get Magic Carpet to send you a copy of the insurance certificate so you can call the carrier's insurance company to try to file a claim.) ANd please be aware that the insurance company tells you if the damage is under $1,000 you have to pursue the company itself because that is the deductible on a commercial freight policy) BK Transportation, Alex the owner, refuses to accept my calls, refuses to call me back and refuses to acknowledge his driver's mistake and poor service. DO NOT USE BK TRANSPORTATION and I would advise you not to use any broker who would like to place your car to ship with them. I have shipped a car before and this experience is by far my worst- Magic Carpet was hard to deal with after the delivery and damage- admin assistant there Ellen took pity on me and was wonderful- finally found the insurance certificate for me. But the broker, Casey did nothing to help following delivery and refused to take my call. And BK Transportation has stone-walled me. So I would advise NEVER USING BK and not using Magic Carpet if you have other options.
