This was probably the best experience I have ever had with a shipping company. My family and I have had several cars shipped to us in the past from a variety of different shipping companies. We've seen the good and the bad (unfortunately) outcomes over the years from these experiences. Shipping a car has always proven to be somewhat stressful in my opinion.
After reading the number of positive reviews about Andy and his company on this site, I decided to give him a shot. I contacted him about shipping my BMW Z4 from North Carolina to California. He gave me a rundown of how the process works and what to expect. He was very honest about the process and very diligent about finding me a shipper during my requested time frame. On the day before my requested ship date, he called to inform me that he did in fact find a carrier for me. I didn't think he would come through in time to be honest, but he somehow got someone to bite in time.
The carrier he found for me was a company called Skyline Express in Cerritos, CA. Initially, I thought this company was the same company that damaged a family member's car about a year ago. However, it turned out I was incorrect, so I decided to take Andy's suggestion and use this company. I am VERY happy I did! Skyline Express was great. They had great communication with me and took good care of the vehicle. They even managed to get the car to me EARLIER than expected by a few days! In this industry, that is an extremely rare occurrence.
When the car arrived, it was definitely dirty. However, that is to be expected after traveling 2500+ miles across the country in an open truck. Other than that, everything was in order. I received my car yesterday and am relieved that the process went smoothly and that my car arrived in great condition.
Overall, I have to give my highest praises to Andy at Capitol Auto Transport, as well as the guys at Skyline Express. I had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to use either company again in the future. Thanks Andy!
