I used Joanne Parker at Parker Trucking as a broker to set up transport of a '53 Chevy from El Paso, TX., to Daytona Beach. She came back with a $650 bid from Chopper Transport. Linus at Chopper stated to Joanne at Parker Trucking that the car would be picked up on Sunday, Dec. 12th in TX and delivered in FL on Wed. 15th. He lied. When I called Wednesday Linus stated the car wouldn't be there until Saturday the 18th and said Joanne misunderstood him. Spoke with Samuel the driver on Friday and he stated he should be in Daytona in the afternoon on Saturday. Called him at 9am as he requested and said he would be here at 4pm. Called him again at 4pm and he didn't answer. Called Linus and he didn't answer either. Called Joanne at Parker, she called Linus and he lied to her stating I wasn't returning their calls. Called Linus and driver Samuel numerous times that afternoon and evening and they never picked up. Samuel eventually called back at 11:45 PM and said he was here. Initially wouldn't tell me what the problem was. Eventually told me Linus made him leave Daytona and drive to Jacksonville, FL, pick up another car and drive back. Samuel had been on the road for 16 days straight and had been working since 5:30am, (it was now midnight). He damaged the car in attempt to get it off the transporter. Had to call two tow trucks to pull the vehicle back on the ramp so it could be backed off. Took possession of the damaged vehicle at 2:00am. Attempting to file claim with their insurance company but getting the run-around. Joanne Parker at Parker trucking has been outstanding in attempting to resolve and even refunded her broker fee due to Chopper Trucking total disregard for honesty and integrity in doing business.
