I was pretty stressed when researching companies for shipping my SUV. It seemed that each company had plenty of "horror story" reviews. I finally decided to ship with DAS from a friend's recommendation.
When placing my order on the phone, the rep was friendly and answered all my questions. The quote they gave me seemed good since other companies were charging more. I requested for an enclosed carrier and was going to drop-off my SUV at their terminal.
The inspection guy at the terminal seemed unfriendly at first. However, after chatting for a couple minutes, he turned out to be a pretty nice guy. Apparently a lot of customers can be difficult when the inspector is recording every tiny scratch or dent on their car (especially a new car).
My only problem with the order was that my SUV took an extra week to arrive based on the original estimated time they gave me. I called customer service when I noticed my SUV hadn't left the terminal, especially when the estimated arrival day was only two days away. They told me the truck it was assigned to was getting some minor repairs done, and that they should be leaving in a couple days. Sure enough, the truck left in a couple days. It was a bit annoying since nobody at DAS contacted me about this delay, but customer service was helpful when I called.
The online tracking system was incredibly accurate. I was skeptical at first, but it was pretty amazing watching the truck travel cross-country with the GPS update.
My SUV arrived without problems. The delay was annoying, but it was only a week. I would DEFINITELY use DAS again.
