I did everything online, which was very unnerving. But my nerves were calmed as soon as i recieved an email telling me my car had a truck, this was friday. Then silence......on monday i got a call from the shipper telling me they had picked up my car and were going to deliver it the next day at 11am. I was unavailable at 11 and rescheduled for 2pm. At 2pm the next day i got a call from the "truckeress" saying they were in town. Within ten minutes they were right by my door. I went out payed the balance. Had a nice conversation with the truckers about old pacific muscle cars. And picked up my car. There were some complications starting the car, and the truckers actually called help for me before they left. But i figured it out(key was slightly worn). Later in the evening they called to make sure everything was OK, i was deeply impressed.
For anyone who is shipping in the southern states i recommend Hook-N-Book, its a small business so they really care for you. If you want that kind of personal service then there is no better.
DEAT is a lovely company which gets the job done quickly.
