This was my second move with Domestic Auto, both handled by Holly Burton. The first was in April 2010 which went well, so I used her again, this time for two cars from Seattle to Virginia. Perhaps because of the time of year, we couldn't get a driver to commit to the pickup date of June 26. I was anxious and called Holly a week before, then two days before our move and she assured me we were "about average" on the boards, and that she wouldn't let me down.

On June 25th, she suggested adding a bit more money to the offer, which I agreed to (from $1900 to $2000). Then, without letting me know ahead of time, she sweetened the offer by giving up a good part of her commission to finally find a driver, and the pickup occurred on time. I think this was above and beyond what was expected. I would gladly have paid the additional myself if I had been asked, but the time was short, and rather than lose the chance of a a driver, she offered the driver more out of her own fee.

One of the cars arrived with some bumper damage. I contacted the company (Auto Elite Transport out of Ohio) and emailed pictures. Both the owner (Korbin) and the driver acknowledged responsilbility and asked for me to obtain a local estimate from the company of my choice. They are in the process of sending a check for the repair.

This is a reputable company that used good transport companies for my two moves. Contacting a sales rep is easy (no phone tree), and I think they sincerely want to make the deal work. (But don't expect the sales reps to give up their commissions on a regular basis!)
