For someone who has researched the entire WWW to select my car mover, I decided to go with G&L after reading all of the raving reviews on this website. Fred was extremely professional and responded to calls promptly. (One thing you'll notice when you call around for quotes is that you will often end up speaking to an answering machine.) Not only was the price very reasonable (READ: Best Quote), the move was nothing short of 'flawless'. I'll share some highlights below:
Tues 9/4 : I scheduled the move this Tuesday 9/4 around noon and received a call by the same afternoon indicating that a carrier would be available to pick up same day or next day. I requested next day.
Wed 9/5: The carrier assigned my move was DY Trucking company and the driver, Donald, was extremely courteous and accomodating. Although I was told that he would be around to pick up the car btwn 8 - 9 AM, he proactively called to let me know of a delay from a previous pick up in the morning. When he did arrive to pick up the car (around 10am or so), it was done quickly and professionally. He even gave my dad a ride back to the office after the pick up~
Thurs 9/6: Vera from DY Trucking Co. called to inform me that my car will arrive between 4 - 6PM on Friday and made sure that I would be around during that time frame.
Fri 9/7: I received a call from Donald letting me know that he would arrive btwn 2 - 3PM (EARLY)! The car arrived in the same condition as when he received it and Donald gave me ample time to inspect the car before completing the transaction. Thanks Donald and Fred for a perfect move!
So net-net, my move would've typically require more than 10 days (including wait time and transport time) BUT my actual time from placing the order to delivery was only THREE days! I highly recommend both companies and would definetly use their services again in the future.
Now if only I can get my apartment complex to get their act together and assign me a parking spot onsite.... =P
