I had never transported a vehicle before and when I bought one out of state I did considerable research before deciding on G&L. My Audi A3 arrived on time after being picked up only one day after the sale was completed. It was a long holiday weekend but even so the car made it from NC to Minneapolis in only 5 days. The driver was courteous and called the night before to arrange a meeting place where he could maneuver his rig. He was very careful with his vehicles and there was no damage. The car was dusty as one would expect from 1200 miles of open transport but no big deal of course. But the REAL reason I recommend G&L is their superior customer service. They personally answered the phone right away each time I called, and told me exactly what to expect in a polite and courteous manner. I read about so many complaints of poor service, delayed pickups, and voicemail run-around from other shippers that I have no idea why anyone would risk that when G&L gave the kind of old-fashioned service I would expect to pay extra for. Their rates were competitive (I paid $725) and I only paid a small up-front deposit with COD to the driver.
