Loss of tractor

I sent out a request for estimates to move a non-operative antique tractor from NJ to VA. Giant was by far the lowest and I made a contract with them. The tractor was to be picked up on 10/27 and delivered on 10/28. I had to drive from central FL to VA to be present on 10/28. I had assured Giant that I would be there with the money on that date. I emailed them before I left that I had no phone on the property and once I was in the valley where it was located I had no cell phone service. So I waited several days, drove 20 miles out of the valley at night to make contact with my wife at home. No messages from Giant. Finally on 11/2 I drove out and contacted Giant. They told me the tractor was never picked up because they had written it up as operative and they sent the wrong equipment. So I drove home to FL, waited about two weeks to cool off and called them to tell them to stay away from my property. Giant responded, in a suave, jocular way, that they had arranged for it to be picked up on 11/17 and deliver it on 11/18. So I dropped everything and drove back to VA. Now, I had left my cell phone out in the rain shortly after I had returned to FL on 11/2. I had purchased another at Wal-Mart on the way up on 11/17. When I called Giant they refused to acknowledge the new cell because I couldn't quote them the contract number. My wife arrived in VA on 11/21 with a repalcement for my original phone and we listened to meaages from Giant's "driver." The tractor had indeed been picked up on 10/27. The driver couldn't reach me by phone so he had driven right by. Giant had told him to "do what he had to do." The tractor had been at the driver's place of business collecting storage fees of $24 per day since 10/29. It was now 11/23. Giant had never called or emailed since the contract was signed. My home phone was the initial contact number given to them. So, in my opinion this company has no concept of customer service or contract law. Their stupid, unprincipled lying I can only attribute to a deliberate attempt to defraud me of the property I paid them to move.
