The worst experience I've ever had

I had a contract with Global Express Auto Transport Corp. to ship my car from Los Angeles, CA to Honolulu, HI. I was worried because I was going to be shipping just a few days before Christmas, but Amanda Miller assured me that someone would be able to come pick up my car in LA on the 24th of December. I gave the company a deposit of $200, and the rest was to be paid upon the pick-up of my car in Hawaii. Two days before pick-up, an employee called me to confirm the address and to tell me that the driver would be calling the next day. The driver did not call or show up on the expected date (12/24/10), as it said on my contract. I was thus forced to leave my car in California with a friend, which was a huge hassle because she works all the time. I contacted Global Express, but they did not answer their phones or emails for about 5 days (I contacted them the day before - 12/23/10 - and the following 4 days before they responded). Mary (in dispatch) then told me that the person who had helped me book my car shipment (Amanda Miller) had misinformed me, and that no one was ever going to pick up my car unless I paid another $500 or so. She stated very frankly "I'm sorry, but we were never going to come pick up your car". I asked to cancel my shipment, and I went with another company who promptly picked up my car and shipped it to me with no problems. Global Express promised me a refund of my $200, and it said on my contract that if I cancelled at any time, my deposit would be fully refundable. I have not yet received my refund after over a month of waiting. I have been in contact with Robert, the man who is supposed to deal with my refund, but he consistently tells me to call back later, or he simply does not answer his phone. I have tried leaving messages or emailing, but of course they don't respond. Don't use this company, they will lie to you, and they are extremely rude.
