Beware of your route

I chose M2Reeves to ship my car from Louisiana to Vermont because of how quickly I was contacted with a quote, how friendly the person on the phone was, the cheap price (I went with the Rock Bottom Price), and the reviews I saw of the company. However, I was told that the pickup of my vehicle could be "up to 8-10 days". It ended up being exactly Four Weeks - that's 1 month! - until my vehicle was picked up. I was personally without a vehicle this entire time and it was extremely frustrating!

Every time I called to check whether they had gotten anywhere trying to find a carrier, I was told that they hadn't yet because it was a "weird route" and a hard one to book. No one asked if I would like to upgrade to a guaranteed pickup, and they just kept telling me to call back on such-and-such a day if I didn't hear from them before that. The day that I had had enough of waiting around and had decided to cancel and go with a different company, I was called with news that they had (FINALLY) booked a driver and he was to pick it up two days later. He picked it up on time, and my vehicle arrived three days later on the date that they had given me.

I have no idea why it took these people so long to find someone to pick up my car, and I don't know which routes are "easy" to book and which are "hard" to book. But hopefully you won't have a route that's difficult to book if you choose to go with this company! That whole thing was my only real complaint with them though. The staff and everything else was very pleasant to deal with. Just....beware of your route!
