The cost of trucking my car from NY to CA was less expensive than driving it and I saved a few tedious days of driving and 3000 additional miles on my car.
I went on vacation for a few weeks and shipped the car while I was gone so time was not an issue. The car was picked up in a timely manner and delivered one day after the driver predicted its delivery.
The car was pretty dirty, but the driver explained that he ran into a snow storm in the Rockies and this is consistent with the type of sandy dirt on the car.
All in all the experience was a good one.
