I shipped my 2003 Monte Carlo with Magic Capet Auto (MCA). Magic Carpet Auto as an auto broker assumed no finanical risk in this transaction. Michelle-very pleasant to talk to- at MCA placed a 3-way call with MATSON shipping. I paid MATSON with my credit card. I paid MCA thier broker fee with my credit card. Finally, I cut a check and paid the transporter at pick-up point in Denver, CO. The drive was 2 days late. I do not hold MCA accountable for independent drivers. However, his fee was $30 over the quote of $420. I had to pay $450, otherwise he would not pick up my POV. I spoke with Michelle, MCA agreed to pay the difference. I have not received the $30. Item 14 in the MCA contract discusses off-shore shipping. I want to make sure you are aware that shipping overseas is not the same as shipping within CONUS. Picked up on 21 Aug 10. Arrived 7 Sep 10. My vehicle arrived without damage.
