DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH MAJOR TRANSPORT INC

Vehicle was picked up from Maryland on scheduled date, but that is where the customer service ended. Was told to expect my vehicle in 7-10 days.....That was almost a month ago. I called a week after pickup to find out whom to make the check payable for COD. To my surprise, the total when up $125.00!!!! They first claimed it was for expedited pickup, which I never requested. Then, they claimed only $40.00 was for expedited pickup and the remaining $85.00 was a gas surcharge (allowed in the contract up to a maximum of 10%). After waiting three weeks, I called to find out where my vehicle was in transit. After three days of not being able to reach the driver, the dispatcher told me that they located the vehicle.....in MARYLAND!!!! My requests to speak to owner when unheeded and my phone calls were never returned. I had a lawyer call the company, who finally agreed to refund the money and allow me to pick up the vehicle from the terminal. Never do business with this company. They may undercut the competition, but there is a reason fro that. I discovered through my lawyer that the company just obtained a license in April 2005, and it is possible that they used to a different company that changed their name!! STAY AWAY FROM MAJOR TRANSPORT INC.
