I was looking to transport my recently purchased 05 Mazda3 Wagon from MO to CT. After filling out a multi contact online application, numerous offers flooded in. Seeing I had some timetable flexibility, I initially selected a lower price broker. Although no deposit was required until there was a confirmed scheduled pick-up, I basically got put on a shipping board for two weeks. After cutting ties with them, I contacted Brent@Mid America on the following Tuesday.
With a pleasant phone demeanor, we discussed my situation and agreed on a reasonable price. He explained that the full amount was to be paid COD(no deposit) and that he would need to get back to me regarding the scheduling. I requested an email outlining our phone conversation, which was received by the next day. When I next contacted Brent on Thursday, he explained that the vehicle would be picked up no later than Monday but would have to let me know which driver would have the detail. Having not heard back from Brent by Saturday, I tried contacting him without success. I finally got back in touch with him on Monday, he appologized and expalined that no one was in the office over the weekend due to a massive snow storm(February). I asked if my pick-up was still on time, he said he would get back to me. The vehicle seller also contacted me asking what was going on? Brent contacted me a couple of hours later, and explained that due to the storm and another transport in AL.that was not ready for pick-up, the driver would be pushed back a day. I said fine but requested an upadated email outlining our conversation and to include the drivers contact info. Once received I called back the seller an explained the entire situation. Tuesday came and my car was picked up without issue. That night I contacted the driver(Nathan) and discussed his approximate timetable for delivery. He explained that due to the weather and the scheduling mishap, delivery would now be on Saturday. That was fine and it actually worked out better for me. Saturday morning the driver called to confirm directions, a time to meet, and by 11am my car was in my possession. Although there was a 1-day delay, I don't hold Mid-American accountable. Everyone I delt with was polite, curtious, and professional; and I would have no issue working with them again.
