Lack of Shipment

Golf cart was picked up on 3/16 with an approximate delivery date of 3/21. At 5:00pm on 3/21 I was notified by the trucker that the golf cart was not on his load and they were on the road with his other shipments. Trucker told me that "he had left the golf cart in a family members garage about 20 miles from where they picked it up. No attembt to notifiy me or the customer at the receiving end had been made of this information since it was picked up over 5 days prior. The trucker did not provide me with a copy of the shipping contract that I signed when he picked up the golf cart and stated he would be emailing me a copy. After I became aware of this problem I still did not have any paperwork and it took several more requests before he finally sent me a copy. On the copy he added, after the fact, that he would be charging me $200 a week storage fees on the golf cart if it was not shipped! HE also accused me and the trucking broker of knowingly lying to him about the dimensions. All of which is untrue. The trucking broker (Montway Auto Transport) was helpful and finally found a reliable trucker to haul the golf cart. They has stated that they will not use this trucker in the future, and I would caution to beware as well.
