My guess is that if you are reading this review and using this website you are already much further ahead than I was in trying to find a company to move my 2007 Pilot. I didn't have Transport Reviews.com as a reference, but I wish I did. My husband and I contracted with North American Auto Transport to ship our vehicle from VA to TX as we moved the family to TX just prior to his deployment. Tracy in the sales department seemed very knowledgeable and very helpful in scheduling the pick up. She was very convincing and reassuring. That's where the good feelings ended. Right after they drafted the $175 deposit from my checking account I couldn't get anyone to call me back. I was uneasy with them taking the money directly out of my checking account and 4 months later I'm still finding out why. Real auto shipping companies will take a credit card for the deposit. NAA Transport notified us nearly two weeks after the pick up date that they would not be able to pick-up our vehicle for an additional 2-3 weeks. I only found this out after calling the company repeatedly to try to get the status of the pick-up. I found other transportation for our vehicle and filled out the refund paperwork and emailed it to NAA Transport as agreed upon with one of their supervisors, Tom Gannon. That was the end of May 2007. The original pick-up was for the 16th of May 2007. I confirmed that the refund paperwork was received and I was told it would be 3-4 weeks. After the 3-4 weeks had passed, I then began a string of calls to the company in inquiry as to when I would receive my $175 refund. The customer service is like nothing I've ever experienced. I've left messages, with both employees and on voicemails and no one has ever returned my phone calls. I've called back several times a week and have spoken with various employees who tell me a story about the accountant who is only in on Thursday afternoons. One employee, Kara, actually told me that there had been a problem with the refund due to a 'button in the accounting system' that had been pushed by accident. That situation was supposedly resolved and in a later conversation she confirmed that the check had been mailed out. That was over two weeks ago. I am confident that I would have received it if it was mailed out. I've left messages for managers and supervisors, I've called on Thursday afternoons andnearly every other day and time of day and NO BODY WILL CALL ME BACK OR HELP ME. It is now August 9th 2007 and clearly legal and BBB related action is required. The company that we ended up using, Specialty Mobile Systems ( 5 stars on the website) was great!! They told me what they were going to do and they did what they said they were going to do. You can imagine my disgust when I saw NAA Transport's rating on this website! I pride myself on researching and avoiding this exact thing. Please NEVER use this company.
