So, I have never shipped a car before. I bought a BMW from half way across the county sight unseen... I will say one thing, I am SO GLAD that I found Gilbert!

He took the time to explain to me how the whole auto shipping business works (the brokers, shipping companies, drivers, their relationship, thesoftware system that manages supply and demand, the bidding process, how much we should bid for my need, how much he makes on the transaction, the benefits of open and closed carriers, what exactly is insured by each, etc. Etc.)


This guy is the man. He is certainly a bit of a character, but I really liked him. We were calling eachother "cousin" by the end of my car's trip.

Gilbert's customer service is top notch (and I have very very high standards). Most importantly, he's totally honest. I have bought and sold countless big ticket items on the internet private party and it's not always easy to see when someone is being straight with you. With Gilbert I knew pretty quickly.

Oh, did I mention that I told him I wanted the car picked up next day?... While he couldn't do that he did get it picked up two days later! I cannot say enough good things about this guy.

Cousin, if I'm ever in LA I'm going to look you up for a beer. First round's on me!
