I would highly recommend that anyone looking to transport a car call Gilbert at Philam first. Even if you are going to shop around, you will benefit from his knowledge of the process. I shopped around, but ended up calling Gilbert back to get the job done.

You simply have to understand that brokers are giving you estimates of what a trucker will move the car for. So you want a broker like Gilbert who knows the market and will be honest with you. I had several brokers "guarantee" lower prices, but days later with no takers, you are right back at square one.

It's similar to having a $200K house. If you interview several realtors, but ultimately choose the one that says they will list it for $275K, the house sits on the market for months. You would have been better off with one who accurately estimates the market worth, and deals with you reliably and honestly.

So feel free to shop around, but I would highly suggest calling Gilbert first, and chances are, like me, you will be calling him back to get the job done well.
