I was dissatisfied with the service rendered from Raber's Auto Transport. First mistake was that they did not honor the pick-up time period which was pre-arranged as a weekday between 7-11AM. I had to pre-arrange this because my nephew was keeping watch of my vehicle at his home in Moreno Valley, CA. He needed to be able to leave for work by 11AM to arrive on time for his shift which begins daily at 12PM..Raber's ended up picking up the vehicle on a Saturday or Sunday night about a week later than what was explained to me. I was disappointed because of this and it caused an inconvenience for my nephew. I got excited because I realized that the car was now on the way to me but then this was tainted due to me not being notified of the progress until another five days had passed. My initiial deposit had already been paid. On the day that my vehicle eventually got delivered to me, the driver from Raber's Auto Transport seemed to reflect a lack of knowledge about me paying the remaining fee by way of a Money Order. Earlier that day he made me to believe that I had to pay by cash only. I called the dispatch center who told me that I had permission to pay by way of a Money Order. The driver called me finally at about 5PM on that evening of the delivery lacking knowledge of where I resided. This was something that I could understand his need for some help with. I unfortunately could not help him much due to my limited knowledge of areas in the city. I have just recently moved to Houston and don't know the city well enough yet. He seemed to panic for my guidance at first but then my sister arrived home from her workplace and we eventually located the transporter driver. When I saw that he had already taken my car off the ramps of the carrier, I did not inspect it very well because I had to return to the house for the payment money. When I returned, I only signed the paperwork and paid the driver. Visibility was bad due to nightfall in our area. I would of preferred my vehicle being delivered in the daytime even if I had to wait until the next day. Well, my vehicle was smudgey from grease which had apparently dripped from overhead vehicles parked on the transport carrier. My front windshield was a big problem for visibilty because of the grease and this also covered my hood and cars' roof. I have dealt with all of this but overall, I am happy to get my vehicle back.
