Ok, first things first. The car was located in about the most northern part of Michigan as you can get without being in Canada, and little did I know when I bought the car how difficult it would be to find a company that would work quickly and efficiently to get the car to me (in Houston). First, I went down the typical route through the big Ship bidding company, got a bid, accepted it, and.... I waited. The winner of the bid was a broker. So it was like using an auction, to find a broker, to find a shipper. The broker collected their deposit and put my shipment up for grabs and I waited. They didn't do a thing to help push it along. I cancelled their order after 8 days, recieved a refund and tried to go directly to a broker. Made a big mistake and optioned for the "3-day guarantee" for a "small fee". Didn't happen. In fact, nothing happened for 8 more days. I cancelled my order with them and recieved a refund. That is when Mike from Ship Your Car Now contacted me. First of all, he not only sent an email quote, he called me. Mike went above and beyond the call of duty answering my amateurish questions with outstanding resolve. He always replied to my emails within minutes, even late on a sunday evening.

This is the timetable: Mike called me on a Monday, and by the next day he had a whole plan outlined to get the car to me, including having to use multiple legs to ferry the vehicle to a bigger hub near Detroit. He worked feverishly to make it work. And out of respect for my skiddishness, he promised not to even collect a credit card number until a truck was ON ITS WAY to get the car. Car was picked up that Friday, and was in Detroit that night. It left Detroit that Saturday and arrived in Houston on Tuesday. That is a grand total of 8 DAYS between first contact and me watching the car being unloaded off the truck!
