excellent service but delivery can be delayed

Everything went well except at the end they attempted delivery on Thursday evening, 9 days after the pick-up in New York, at our friends' address, who called back and said they'd be out this evening asking if the delivery can be done any other time, and they haven't heard from the driver since, until the following Tuesday morning, 13 days after the pick-up. The driver said that this is because he was the only driver they had in LA and he had to go work in Vegas Friday-Monday. The driver was with PK Lines, and Safe-Direct Shipping was the broker, so it's not directly the fault of the Safe-Direct Shipping folks. However, the communication between the SDS and the drivers is clearly not the best: We attempted to change the local delivery address by contacting the SDS agent on Sunday, but on Tuesday the car was still brought to the previously designated address.
