Broker Was Great, Carrier Was Not.

This was my first time shipping a car, and if I ever have to do it again, I will make different decisions.

I would definitely use Safe-Direct Car Shipping again. David was my broker and he was wonderful about keeping in communication with me. I had a shipping company/carrier pick my bid up in less than 24 hours for the price David quoted me (their Standard Rate). I paid $245 online to Safe-Direct once my bid was picked up, and $850 by check to the carrier once my car was delivered.

I don't think I would use the carrier, Quality Relocation Services, Inc., again. The driver called the day before I scheduled to have my car picked up and wanted to pick it up that day, which was a problem because it is my only car, I was moving/flying across country (hence needing my car shipped) and I had appointments scheduled all that day. I had a very hard time understanding the driver because it seemed like English was his second language and he had a thick accent. He seemed frustrated with me, too. After getting off the phone with him, I rescheduled/rearranged everything and then the company called me and said they somehow (?) had my pick up day listed as that day but they'd pick up the next day as I originally requested. It made me pretty upset at a very stressful time for me. The person that picked up my car was friendly and reassuring. We went around my car together and he notated scratches, minor dents, chips, etc. He told me my car would be delivered to me in Virginia on May 7th, with a two day window on each side. My car was delivered on May 9th, thankfully in great condition.

Having never shipped a car before, I don't know if my experience is typical. I'm just grateful my car arrived safely and with no damage.
