The rates that Safe-Direct Car Shipping (SDCS) are very competitive. I received a quote from more than 12 companies, and SDCS was on the lower end. SDCS charges a flat rate of $225 for their services, with the remaining balance going to the carrier. Setting the quote price is almost an art. If it's too high, the customer would pay extra (or look for a better broker). If it's too low, it may be a long wait before finding a carrier to pick up the vehicle. SDCS has found a perfect balance between the two, ensuring the customer a timely vehicle pickup at the lowest possible price. One main reason why I chose SDCS over all the other companies was their guarantee that they would reimburse damages to the vehicle if for some reason the damages were not covered by the carrier. The damage reimbursement, capped at $500, would be enough to cover the deductible from my insurance. Thankfully, I did not have to use this service. My final comment is regarding their choice of Q Express Co as the carrier. The carrier was very communicative, timely in pickup, transport, and delivery. Their team managed to ship my vehicle more than 3000 miles in 3 days. My vehicle arrived a little dirty from the dust on the road, but in otherwise pristine condition. Props to SDCS for finding such a competent carrier.
