Car Pickup and Delivery

The quote we received was for $745 but later we were told that was after a $30 rebate we would get. The car needed to be picked up between July 13th and July 19th, as we would be moving out of our house early the morning of July 20th. The car had not been picked up by the afternoon of the 19th. After making several calls and leaving messages we were told that the car would not be shipped on time (obviously) and that we would have to pay an additional $100 to get it shipped. Needless to say we were in a bind and had no real choice but to agree. It was July 23rd when the car was picked up. Thank goodness we had great neighbors that kept the car and made sure it got on its way. If we hadn't we don't know how we would have handled the situation. Once it was on the road things ran smoothly. The carrier contacted us and delivered the car when they said they would. Even though it was an open transport the car was just fine when it arrived.

Although there was a lot of anxiety and frustration when the car was not picked up on time, and we didn't know when, or even if, it would be picked up, and the fact that the price turned out to be substantially higher than quoted, the car arrived in good condition, and that was the main concern. Should the need again arise for us to have a car transported we would still consider Ship a Car Direct, but know that their dates and prices could vary a lot from what they quote.

Glad the car arrived safe! Sorry the original quote was too low to confirm a carrier quickly, we try to find the sweet spot (the lowest possible price to confirm a stellar carrier) but we missed the mark.
