I hardly ever write reviews but I had to take time out to write one regarding ship a car direct. In a nut shell, I had a wonderful experience with this company. I decided to move from Ohio to Texas to start a new job and I had started making arrangements for the move way ahead of time. I had everything set up or so I thought. I had contacted a company to move my 2 vehicles about a month ahead of time and that company reassured me they would have a driver to ship both vehicles on the day I had requested. In fact, the person I spoke to told me he was glad I was giving them enough time to find a driver. The day to move the vehicles arrived and I did not hear a thing from that company. I called numerous times but could not get through to anyone. I finally got through to someone in the afternoon and was told they were still looking for a carrier for the vehicles. At 7pm, I was finally told my cars would not be shipped that day because they were unable to find a carrier and could not tell me when they would find one. I was pissed off especially since I was planning to fly to Texas in 2 days. I canceled my order with the company and began looking for another company to ship my vehicles. A friend of mine had moved from Ohio to Florida recently and recommended SHIP A CAR DIRECT. I called SHIP A CAR DIRECT the following day, spoke to a lady who said I would be contacted within 24 hours. 24 hours later I got an email from David stating theY were willing to find a carrier for me. I called David, explained my plight and stated I needed the cars to be in Texas as soon as possible. He explained that the pick up location was not a very popular place for truck drivers but he would do his best. Within the next 24 hours he had a carrier for me. We negotiated the price and settled on a particular amount. He gave me the number to the carrier, S&G transport, and said I could call the guy anytime. I waited a day and called S&G transport to get a feel of the company. The person I spoke to was pleasant and gave me the direct number to the driver. I called the driver and he stated he would be able to pick up both cars in 2 days as David had promised, I was skeptical because of my recent experience with the previous company. 2 days later, I called Royce (the driver) to verify if he was still picking up the vehicles and he stated he was on his way to pick them up. By this time, I was already in Texas and my vehicles were at my uncle's house in Ohio. I asked my cousin to call me the moment the vehicles were picked up. Hours later, my cousin called and told me the vehicles were picked up at around 6pm Ohio time. Cool! The following day, I called Royce to see how the trip was going and was surprised when he picked up on the 3rd ring. He stated everything was fine and he would be in Texas as soon as possible but that he could only drive about 10 hours a day. True to his words, he delivered both vehicles as promised with no damage to either vehicle. I was blown away! The service from SHIP A CAR DIRECT was amazing but I must say, the service provided by S&G TRANSPORT, particularly Royce was top notch. If you need to ship a vehicle, I definitely recommend SHIP A CAR DIRECT and if they are able to get S&G transport to ship your vehicle, then you are in luck! I hope I never have to move again but if I ever have to, I am calling SHIP A CAR DIRECT.
