My experience with Specialty Mobile Systems and the carrier (Alfred & Sons Transport of North Hills, CA) was absolutely superb. I shipped my 1998 Mercedes E320 from Northern Virginia to Rancho Mirage, CA. I keep my car in excellent condition. Naturally, I searched very carefully for a transport service that would keep my car that way. SMS fit the bill.

SMS responded to my 7/11/2006 shipping quote request within minutes and within a day of placing my order had arranged for a carrier to pick up the car.

Alfred, the driver, picked up the car three days after I initially contacted SMS (7/14/2006) and delivered the car cross-country with zero damage six days later (7/20/2006). Alfred showed remarkable attention to detail and trucked the car 2,600+ miles without a scratch to the car and without any "curbing" of the wheel lips.

I highly recommend SMS for transport brokerage services. They located a honest, dependable carrier very quickly.

As an aside, I noticed that some carriers "wash" the cars before final delivery. I am very grateful that SMS/Alfred do not. No doubt most of these carriers either run the cars through automatic car washes or even worse, hire minimum wage high school kids with dirty rags. If you're like me and are careful about keeping your car's finish in primo condition, the last thing you want to do after picking up your car is spend several hours with a ROB/rotary buffing out swirl marks!
