I had my car transported from AZ to IL after I purchased it over the internet. A friend in AZ checked out the car to insure it was in the described condition. Once all the details were complete, I made my final request to Specialty Mobile Systems. Amazingly, a driver picked up the car that very evening. I chose not to use a closed carrier due to the added expense, so the car was filthy upon arrival...thanks to 4 days of snow and ice storms across the nothern part of the US. The total delivery took 10 days, which was 5 days longer than originally projected. This was not an issue since I did not have a deadline to meet and clearly understood that there was nasty weather to contend with. I would have liked to have been better informed of the ongoing status of movement. I called Specialy Mobile the day after the original delivery date and they had to track down the car. The driver called me late (he woke me up) the night before arrival to coordinate delivery, and then we spoke again in the morning about 1/2 hour before he got here.

My initial contact with Amy was a very good experience. She was professional, helpful, friendly and speedy....as was Dee, who I dealt with for the final instructions and follow up.

I misunderstood that my car was going to be consigned to another company to actually do the transporting, but that is a matter of me being a novice at this process. Overall, the car was pick up quickly and arrived in good shape, albeit needing a thorough bath.
