I am of the mind that one should be ready to spend a little more money for good service, and I am glad I did it this time, too. SMS did deliver on all of their promises and were open, and cared enough, to discuss my concerns about the contract and the insurance policy. This level of care and customer service is, unfortunately, hard to come across in this industry, and I was very pleased to find it at SMS. I must say, however, the folks who actually took care of the transportation, Pioneer Auto Express Corp., were also very professional and easy to get a hold of.
My car was picked up and delivered on time without any damage. But, it was quite dirty on the outside (which one might expect from being on the roads for days), to where one could not adequately inspect the car for scratches, etc. Also, the leather on the seats was marked with dirty/oily hands, but nothing that would not wipe off. Overall, this was a positive experience, and if I had to ship a car again, I would certainly use SMS. The take home message: BEFORE CHOOSING YOUR SHIPPER READ AS MANY OF THEIR FEEDBACKS AS YOU CAN ON THIS SITE. You'll be glad you did.
