Based on other’s reviews I proceed and called Specialty Mobile Systems for my car move from NY to Austin, TX. The service at reservation stage was good, yet when the time to pick up the car came, their service became awful. They were supposed to pick up my car sometime before Friday June 22nd. During that window, Denise, the contact person, indicated they would pick up the car on the last day of the relevant window. When the day arrived and they failed to pick up the car Denise started to fabricate lies. First, she said that I had instructed them not to pick up the car, which was obviously not true, then she indicated the driver had not read the instructions on when the car was supposed to be picked-up. The fact was the driver was in Oklahoma not in New York. I learned that from a call I later received indicating the car was going to be picked up Monday 25th, but again nobody showed up to pick up the car. While I understand unexpected scheduling conflicts can and do happen, I don’t expect reputable companies to lie to their costumers. Denise was doing that. Further, she was not taken responsibility for my business. I asked for a new specific pick-up day and she could not provide it. If you can try to avoid doing businesses with them.

Due to the fact we do not own terminals we strive for door to door service. Thereby, we have to work with pickup windows. We do our best to hit customer’s time restraints; however, in this case there was apparently miscommunication with the carrier due to a delay. The vehicle was slightly delayed on the pickup side, however the delivery was as scheduled. It is not nor will it ever be our practice to lie to or misguide our customers. Amy/Specialty Mobile
