After contacting several transport companies to move my 2002 Ford Mustang GT Convertible from New York State or Tampa, Florida, I chose Springle Transport Service our of Loxahatchee, Florida. I did months of research, contacted several companies, then after careful review made my decision. At first I was going to use "The Horseless Carriage" Company out of New Jersey because they claimed they owned their own enclosed fleet of trucks. But to make a long story short, their employees were rude, never answered any of my faxes or e-mails, then, changed the date that they had set to pick up my car from September 20th to October 4th without even letting me know.
I then chose Springle Transport Service. Bill Springle the owner, is a smaller operator/owner, but I found this to be the best thing to ever happen. He told me he has two enclosed full size transporters and picks up the vehicles, and drives them to their destination himself. Because he is always picking up and dropping off vehicles, his delivery time is much faster than most that say it will be 1o to 14-days to get a vehicle delivered.
I made my reservation on September 22nd. Would you believe no week or two wait. Bill Springle called me on Friday, September 24th, two days after I booked it, and said he was already on his way and would be picking up my car on Saturday, September 25th. I could not believe it. He arrived as he said on Saturday morning. His truck was just magnificent. And Bill took tender loving car of my Mustang. His transporter had everything necessary to ensure my care would be secure and safe. Bill got my car onto the lift, then into the transporter, where he put ties or supports through all the wheels of the car and secured them to the side locks inside the truck to ensure no movement in the truck while transporting it to Florida. The entire process took about an hour. Everything was done to perfection.
Bill Springle cares about people’s vehicles and treated them as if they were his own. After loading the car, he said he would have it to my friend in Tampa who bought the car on Tuesday. I could not believe what he was saying. Most companies cannot even make a promise of what day they will pick up, let alone tell you the day it will arrive at the other destination. It normally takes almost 2-weeks sometimes for other companies to deliver the car, and then you don't know where they are going first and how reckless they might be.
Well, let me say this...Last night, Tuesday, September 28th, my car arrived at my friends door as Bill promised without incident. The car came off the transporter, without a problem. A perfect journey.
All I can say is that in many cases, a small operator with the same knowledge and equipment is much better to use than a big outfit that treats you like another number. Bill Springle of Springle Transport Service, Inc. is the best in my book. He did one outstanding job and is truly a gentleman and cares about what he do.
