A VERY, VERY BAD EXPERIENCE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We received a quote from a competitor for $650 to transport our 72 Olds Cutlass from Florida to New Hampshire. Next day, this guy Teddy of Transport Central called to solicit us and he said he could transport the 72 Olds for $645 so, we went with him, paid his company $150 as a deposit. A month and a half later, the car had yet to be picked up. Our phone calls and emails went unanswered until we threatened to take our business elsewhere. The Teddy guy finally called and said he’d get back to us within 24 hours with a date and time of pick-up. 72 hours went by and still no word from Teddy. We called again and this time got a human being on the line. I said to cancel our deal and would you please return our deposit. “Oh sure, it’ll take 3-5 business days” said the voice. It has been over a month and we’ve yet to see our deposit credited back to our bank account. The fight has just begun to get our deposit back. Next, I will file a complaint with the BBB then, the Office of the Attorney General. I lived in FL for 4 years and it’s not the first time I’ve had to file a complaint against a business operator.
Please folks, avoid Transport Central like it was the plague. The Teddy guy will quote you a great price but, they fail to deliver the goods.
We ultimately went with Your Choice Auto Transport out of Miami who contracted with JR’s Towing & Transport of Port Richey, FL. They treated us great and delivered our baby Olds home to NH.
