I received a quote to transport a CARGO VAN from Missouri to California for $695. I had read in other sites that providing a deposit is NEVER a good idea. However, Sara and Jessica were very pleasant and till this day I feel they provided good customer service to the best of their ability. Unfortunately, UFA was unable to transport the vehicle for the original amount quoted, so I agreed to pay $800 for the transport. After several follow up emails and phone calls, UFA dispatched a vehicle to pick-up the van in Missouri. The driver was unable to fit the van in his trailer, so he just left the van in Missouri. I didn't get a call from the driver or UFA (I couldn’t believe this, I had sent a photo of the van to make sure they can find a company to transport the 15 passenger van). Instead I got a call from the property owner of where the van broke down advising me that the driver was unable to fit the van, so he left the van in his property. To add insult to injury, the owner of the property wanted me to PAY him a STORAGE FEE or else he was going to have the van towed immediately. The property owner wanted money from when the van was first left on his property, so from March 31st to April 12th. He wanted me to pay him $25 per day storage fee.
Can you believe this??? I called UFA asking if they could PLEASE move the van ASAP because the owner of the property was charging me money. They already had 2 weeks to move the vehicle, but they claimed they had a hard time finding a company that would be willing to pick up the van for the quoted amount. UFA was unable to move the van that day, so I had no choice then to search for another company that can provide faster service, so I contact Global Logistics located in Lighthouse Point, Florida to help me. Global Logistics dispatched a driver on April 12th (same day) for $750 and delivered the van. I didn’t have to pay for a deposit until they had a driver on its way to pick up the van. I wish I would have contacted them originally. Now, what would have been originally $695 has been over $1200 dollars. I had to pay the owner of the property over $300 dollars to avoid towing, $200 to UFA for the initial deposit. Even though I feel that I should receive my full deposit back for services not provided, and the $750 to Global Logistics. Moral of this story, the quoted amount was to good to be true. I wish I would have paid extra for faster and reliable service and paid no deposit until a vehicle was dispatched. Also, UFA is really quick to answer calls regarding quotes, but once you place an order you will have a really hard time reaching someone for an order update. Overall, I would not use this company again. I will not provide a deposit until I have confirmation a driver is on its way to pick up the vehicle. UFA makes you sign a terms and conditions, if you have weeks to transport your vehicle or you are a car dealership this is probably a company for you. But if you’re like me who needs fast and reliable service, shop around.

We always strive to make sure that our customers are well taken care of and receive excellent service, which is why we regret to hear that Violett felt disappointment with her particular order. As originally explained to Violett, UFA offers several types of services, including Expedited, Express and Standard Service. Violett opted to go with our Standard Service indicating that price was more of a factor than time. We had a couple of drivers available to pick up this extra large van, however when we tried to contact Violett, there was no answer or response on either of the two numbers provided. We feel that it is unfortunate how the events unfolded, but we do wish Violett the best of luck and are happy that her large van was shipped, even if it was through another company.
