I am in the Marine Corps and moved from California to NC. I asked for a quote from VIP auto transport, they gave a good price. Not exactly the cheapest. But I have been told that cheap things end up being more expensive in the long run.
Anyway, I placed my order with some guy with an accent. He sounded like he was maybe from India. (Just a guess). This gentleman was extremely rude. I had to get rude with him a couple of times so he would realize that I was the Alpha Male.
I placed my order on maybe the 15th of July and they said it would be picked up on the 25th of July. Okay, fine by me. I understand that it takes a while to coordinate an event such as transporting a vehicle cross-country.
At the end of the month I called back and asked what was going on, I havent heard anything from them regarding my order. The rude guy told me that no-one picked it up b/c noone wanted to pick the vehicle up.
I dont know much about truck-brokerage. But I do know about business. If you can not provide for your customer, you tell them. "I am sorry, but we are a small company, we are unable to help you. These are your options. I know "such and such" company is a larger company and will be able to complete this for you." "I am sorry for the inconvenience." If you tell them that you are unable to help, they might think that you suck, but they will not have a terrible enough impression of you to post a negative rating on the internet.
The rude guy got short with me when I told him that I wanted to cancel my order. Then they were slow to give me my money back.

Dont do business with these people, they are rude and lazy.

unfortunately, our new sales person gave the wrong price, not knowing where the pickup or delivery locations were located, both pickup and delivery locations were in rural areas, none of the truckers could be induced to do the job, they had called to takeb but indicated that they required additional money, the customer was informed of this and elected not to pay anything additional, therefore we refunded the deposit and told the customer that we could not do the job. The company was totally unreasonable, and his knowledge of this business is limited, even a large company would use the same carriers, and if we could not get a carrier they would not be able to secure a truck.
