Before selecting Wheels of Fortune, I highly recommend you review my review on Yelp for a detailed account of how they operate. I provided a detailed description of what can happen when you choose this business.
In short, I used Wheels of Fortune to ship a $110k vehicle from Florida to NY. When the vehicle arrived, I noticed damage to the rear bumper, which was not on the condition report and certainly not in the pictures from the dealer. Wheels of Fortune was initially very non-responsive to my claim and initially told me they would not fix the damage, even though they admitted the damage was caused during transport (their shipping contract indicates they are liable for any external damage during shipping).
After some arguing, the owner finally agreed to have the car brought to a shop of his choice, which was very far away from my home in a bad part of Queens. I made arrangements to get my car to this shop so they could respray the damaged portion of the bumper. This shop initially gave an estimate of $200 to respray (without seeing the car). After seeing the car, they said the repairs were more extensive and would cost closer to $800. At this point, I offered to split the cost of the repair with Wheels, but they refused. Instead, they said they knew of another shop who was willing to respray the car as we had originally agreed. They said they would bring my car to that shop instead. I agreed.
A day later, I received a call from the owner, telling me my car was ready, and he provided me with a contact number for someone who would meet me at their depot to pick up the car. When I called this person on my way to the shop, he said "I'm no artist, but I think the car looks good." I replied back to him, "Hold on, did you do the repair yourself? Not a shop?" He said yes, and that it looks just fine.
When I picked up my car, I realized that all they had done was purchased a $15 can of touch up paint and brushed over the damage. The car looks terrible. To add insult to injury, while my car was at the shop in Queens, they parked it on the street (not in their lot as I was promised) and I got a parking ticket to boot! They also forced me to sign a document that I would not hold them responsible anymore, else they wouldn't release my vehicle to me. Not only do I now have a $65 parking ticket, but I also have a $110k car with a horrendous looking rear bumper, which I will now need to pay out of pocket to fix so it looks good.
Do not use Wheels of Fortune, they are not a good business, they are not fair, they do not honor their own agreements, and they will flat out deceive you.
