Mr. Voght, we’re always mortified whenever our clients feel that their experience falls far from target. It is important to note, however, that our terms of service do require you, the Shipper, to accurately report the condition of your vehicle when arranging your pick-up. This is due to the fact that any vehicle that cannot be driven onto a trailer, for whatever reason, will require specialized equipment to be loaded. Not all Carriers will have this equipment.
Due to the fact that you had informed us that your vehicle was fully operational, a standard Auto Carrier had been assigned to your order. Prior to your pickup date, this Carrier diligently confirmed the condition of your vehicle with the dealer and was also led to believe that it was operable. On arriving at your pickup location, the Carrier discovered your vehicle was not in running condition. This Carrier has provided photographic evidence of the condition in which your vehicle was found upon arrival. These can be provided upon request.
It appears that the dealer was ignorant of the true condition of the vehicle and subsequently mislead all parties involved. However, if you review our Terms and Conditions, we do require our clients to take full responsibility for furnishing us with the accurate particulars pertaining to their shipment. Our T’s and C’s also clearly specify that any vehicles dispatched as ‘operable’ which are, in fact, found to be ’non-operational’ will incur an additional fee of $150. These terms were reviewed and agreed to by you prior to dispatch. Yellowfin is fully transparent about these policies and makes sure to provide them to all our customers up-front and in writing.
We do apologize that this is not the solution you are hoping for, however it is quite apparent, given the record of events with your order, that the Carrier cannot be accused of changing your price without cause and that you accepted full responsibility for inaccurately describing the condition of your vehicle in the Shipping Agreement.
