I WANTED TO MOVE MY 2 CARS FROM HOUSTON, TX TO TOPEKA, KS.
I SPOKE TO ED GERHARDT OF A AAADVANTAGE (HERE-IN AFTER REFFERED AS AAAA) DURING ORDERING PROCESS, ED WAS VERY INTERESTED IN GETTING MY BUIESNESS PARTICULARLY MY CREDIT CARD #, VERY PROMPT IN REPLYING TO EMAILS AND PHONE CALL UNTILL GOAL IS ACHIVED WHICH IS TO OBTAIN YOUR CC AND CHARGE $ 200 DEPOSIT, HE PROMISED ME THAT IF THEY DO NOT PICK UP MY CARS IN TIME MY DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED. SO FINALY I SUBMITTED MY CC #, OH BOY….WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!, AFTER THAT HE JUST DISAPPEARED.

ON CHECKING ON LINE STATUS IT APPEARED THAT MY CAR WAS SCHEDULED TO BE PICKED UP ON 05/20/03 FROM TX AND BE DELIVERED ON 05/23/03 IN KS, WAS INFORMED THAT DRIVER WILL CALL ME 6-24 HRS. PRIOR TO PICK UP, FINE HAPPY SO FAR. OH MY ITS 05/20/04 3:00 PM CST AND NOBODY CALLED SO FAR ABOUT PICKUP, SO TRIED CALLING AAADVANTAGE, AFTER 25-30 MINUTES OF HOLD THEY INFORMED ME THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE “STATE OF THE ART 20 CO. OWNED CAR CARRIER” AND THEY ARE BASED IN AZ, THEY HAD GIVEN SUBCONTRACT TO “CAR EXPRESS” BASED IN NE, AND THEY CAN NOT REACH THE COMPANY OR DRIVER SO JUST WAIT FOR DRIVER TO CALL YOU. NOW ANXIETY IS BULING UP, I HAVE AIRLINE TICKETS TO KS FOR 05/25/04 AND IF MY CAR DOESN’T GET PICKED UP I CAN’T LEAVE. I ASKED FOR CAR EXPRESS’S TEL. NUMBER BUT AAAA WILL NOT PROVIDE IT TO ME “COMPANY POLICY” ??? I CAN’T TALK TO THE PERSON WHO IS GOING TO CARRY MY TWO CARS WORTH $ 65K.

NEXT 4 DAYS ARE LIKE WORST POSSIBLE NIGHTMARES YOU CAN IMAGINE, I SPENT 4-5 HRS/DAY ON HOLD CALLING AAAA MULTIPLE TIMES SPEAKING TO VARIOUS REPS. LIKE DENISE, ESTA, ANGELA TRIED TO TALK TO MANAGER SANDY BUT SHE WAS NEVER AVAILABLE AND EVERY TIME I GOT THE ANSWER “WE CAN NOT REACH THE DRIVER, YOU HAVE TO WAIT” NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE. NOW I AM WORRIED WHAT KIND OF CO. IS CAREXPRESS THAT INSPITE OF TRYING MULTIPLE TIMES AND LEAVING MULTIPLE MESSAGES, THEY WILL NOT RESPOND.

ITS 05/24/04 5:00 PM CST STILL NO NEWS FROM DRIVER OR FROM CAR EXPRESS, I HAVE FLIGHT ON 05/25/04 SO FINALY DECIDED TO CANCEL MY ORDED WITH AAAA AND CHOOSE TNT WHO BYTHE WAY DON’T ASK FOR ANY DEPOSIT TO PLACE AND ORDER AND THEY OFFER GUARENTEED DELIVERY DATES AND YOU CAN CANCELL ANYTIME FOR FULL REFUND. I ALSO HAD TO RESCHELUDE OUR AIRLINNE TKTS. PENALTY $ 200 TOTAL FOR ME AND MY WIFE.

NIGHTMARE STILL CONTINUES, NOW I RECEIVED EMAIL ON 05/28/04 FROM MYSTERIOUS SANDY “THE MANAGER” THAT THERE WILL BE CANCELLATION FEE OF $ 200, I ASKED THEM THAT SINCE YOU (ED GERHARDT EXT# 138) HAD TOLD ME THAT IN CASE OF NON SERVICE
MY DEPOSIT WILL BE FULLY REFUNDABLE, WHERE THIS CANCELLATION FEE COMING FROM, AND HERE IS THIS OUT SANDY SAYS WE DID PROVIDE YOU WITH SERVICE BY SCHEDULING A PICKUP EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A “GHOST COMPANY” WHICH CAN NOT BE REACHED FOR FIVE DAYS IN THIS 21ST CENTURY. IF I HAD WAITED TOTAL OF 14 DAYS BEFORE CANCELLING THEN ONLY THEY WILL CONSIDER IT TO BE “NON-SERVICE” NOW ITS 06/03/04 10:50 AM CST, 15 DAYS FROM MY ORIGINAL SCHEDULED PICK UP, I GET A PHONE CALL FROM Darrell McFadden, (CELL # 605-660-2064) DRIVER FOR CAREXPRESS, ASKING ME IF HE CAN PICK UP MY CARS BY TOMORROW, HE ADMITTED THAT HE RECEIVED ORDER ON 05/11/04 AND IT TURNS OUT HE NEVER RECEIVED CANCELLATION. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK SANDY, AAAA AND EVERYBODY WHO READS THIS REVIEW, COMPLAINT TO TELL ME IF YOU DON’T COUNT THIS “NON-SERVICE” THEN WHAT ELSE WILL BE COUNTED.

We did have a miscommunication with the carrier on the pick up of Mr. Doshis’ vehicles. The carrier did inform us that he was running behind. Mr. Doshi did not allow us adequate time to locate another carrier or for the original carrier to pick up the vehicles. We do estimate our dates, because we know that there are delays that our out of our control. We do apologize for any inconvenience Mr. Doshi may have experienced.
