I selected Auto Trans Express Inc. Because they're owned by Federal Express, and figured I would receive excellent service going with a name brand.

The customer service was very responsive, and they did keep me informed, however did NOT meet their stated performance obligation or "shippers bill of rights" they have posted on their website.

The vehicle was ready 5/4/2004, and I was given a 14-day window for pickup. The driver called 5/13/04 and stated that the vehicle was too big for his truck? It is now 5/20/2004, and after contacting the Federal Express parent Company Federal Express Custom Critical found out that the next available pick-up date is 3 weeks out!!

So for a premium of $1300 on an open carrier, I'm looking at a total of 37days to have them pick the vehicle up, and who knows how long after that to receive it. I didn't want friendly placations, I wanted service, and I sure didn't get it from Auto Trans Express Inc.
